Amy Freeman is a dynamic speaker who has spent many years entertaining and educating audiences all over the U.S. Her satirical impressions of the average person making common life choices always brings knowing laughs from the audience. She addresses social issues such as sexism and diversity in a way that is easy to digest.
She currently holds a Master's degree in Architectural Engineering and a Ph.D. in Workforce Education. This unusual combination of interests has lead to a broad perspective. Her thoughts are recorded in her academic writings as well as two books of poetry.
She has written, published and presented research findings at national conferences and is a member of several organizations. Freeman currently serves as an executive officer of the National Association of Multicultural Engineering Program Advocates (NAMEPA) and is also the Assistant Dean of Engineering Diversity at the Pennsylvania State University. As a advocate of engineering education, she emphasizes the need to share ideas, collaborate and learn as much as possible about others and the world around us.
